Election of the President of the Chamber of Deputies
and of the other Members of the Standing Bureau

After the lawful constitution of the Chamber of Deputies, the president of the Chamber of Deputies and then the other members of its Standing Bureau shall be elected.

The president of the Chamber of Deputies shall also he the president of the Standing Bureau, which is also comprised of 4 vice-presidents, 4 secretaries, and 4 quaestors. The Standing Bureau shall be constituted following negotiations between the leaders of the parliamentary groups, observing the political configuration of the Chamber, as resulted from the constitution of the parliamentary groups.

The president of the Chamber of Deputies shall be elected for the duration of the Chamber's mandate, by secret ballot, with bulletins that include the full names of all candidates proposed by the parliamentary groups. Each parliamentary group can only make one proposal.

The candidate having been voted by the majority of the deputies shall be pronounced president elect of the Chamber of Deputies. If none of the candidates have received, after two rounds, the votes of the majority ot the deputies, new voting rounds shall be organised, at the end of which the candidate having obtained the majority of the votes of the deputies present shall he pronounced president of the Chamber of Deputies, provided the quorum stipulated under article 64 of the Constitution is met.

Once the president of the Chamber of Deputies elected, the activity of the senior president shall cease.
